Scientific research confirms that Chinese medicine effectively treats Atopic dermatitis/ eczema

  • Eczema

This latest research study that I just posted on the effective treatment of atopic dermatitis with a traditional Korean herbal formula is very interesting.

First off the ingredients of the formula called Sopungyangjae Tang (SYT) are very similar to formulas used in traditional Chinese medicine, showing that the traditional medicine of all of Asia are very similar. Thus expanding the validity and amount of people using Herbal medicine. With a quarter of the Chinese communities 1.5 billion person population using Chinese medicine, adding Korea and obviously other asian countries to this count makes for a massive amount of people using, trusting, and seeing the undeniable results of Oriental herbal medicine.

The results of the study were obviously the most impressive. The researchers found that the herbal formula directly alieviated the inflammatory effects of eczema, measured through histologic testing. The inflammatory mediator thymus- and activation-regulated chemokine, or TARC for short, and the immunoglobulin IgE are often times found elevated in individuals experiencing an eczematous flare up. SYT was shown to actually inhibit the production of TARC in dermatitis lesions and as well prevent IgE from elevating. The overall effect is that eczema is stopped in its tracks!

The researchers demonstrated that the inhibitor effects of the herbal concoction were due in part to not only things like anti-allergic or anti-inflammatory materials such as flavonoids, lignans and catechins found in the plant sources themselves, but that unknown and complex components were created by the combination of the ingredients. Showing the importance of a properly prescribed herbal formula. Single herbs are rarely prescribed singly.

The scientists of this study were left feeling convinced that they had scientific valid proof of the effectiveness of SYT in treating dermatitis. Confirming the results of the thousands of people treated in a similar way in hospitals and clinics all over the world!
